What do you mean by a "phase" of the team and it not being widely recognized? Do you mean to imply that people tend to ignore how Krystal's actually a member now, and instead only pay attention to how it was in SF64? I don't understand why you call it "random", either, as things change with the story...it's not like Peppy was ever kicked off or anything, since he essentially continues to do what he always does...give meaningless advice

Regardless, it's a very nice picture. Slippy's head looks a bit lumpy, but overall the characters look good. The "ethereal" approach is also interesting.

By "Phase," I'm referring to myself; I've been in a Starfox craze lately.
I've always liked the series, but for now it seems like the main focus.

By "Random," I meant that I would have expected something more popular for being that 'craze.' ie, I'm surprised I'm not in a Zelda or a Sonic phase or something like that.

--I don't ignore how Krystal's a member. While I remember my roots, I'm not a purist like the others who never acknowledge her. And while I recognize that Peppy's still a part of the team, he's not one of the squadron who actually go out in the Arwings. He hasn't had a sortie since SF64, far as I know.

Well, you like what you like. Just because half the people on this site are obsessed with Sonic or Kingdom Hearts doesn't mean you're wrong for making fanart of a less...prominent series. In fact, more power to you.

As for Peppy, he did help out a lot in Assault...almost sacrificing himself for Pepper and such, and he was a pretty good playable character in Command...not sure if that counts as a "sortie", though.

Oh...I was going to have that image of the team staring off at Lance in the distance. He would have been glaring over his shoulder at them.

To me, it would have shown how them from the beginning: they got off to a rocky start and even now they still have their differences.

I could never...ever get it right though, so I stopped with this version.
I want to redo it sometime, but because the present circumstances call for an art-related job, (long story) we won't be seeing much SoL related stuff. I hope that can change, though...
